I went shopping yesterday for all the ingredients for Route 129's cupcakes. You should have seen the look on people's faces when they saw my shopping cart. I wonder what they were thinking.....
"What's that girl gonna' do with 10 dozen eggs?????"
LOL!!!
Tip: Don't count on "Party Stores" to have cake boxes on stock. Just buy bulk from your favorite online retailer. It's worth it!

I can't believe how the Lord has been blessing this little venture. To make a long story short, we've had a lot of orders come in (of course all of them have been from friends....thanks everyone!) mostly for birthdays. I FINALLY, found a red velvet recipe that is super yummy and moist! Yay! More info on that later.
This weekend is my biggest order yet! A close friend of mine is going to get married and he and his beautiful bride to be asked me to do their cupcake tower...300 cupcakes! Yay! I'm so excited.
Our digital camera went on the fritz so I couldn't post any pictures of the past orders but for Christmas, my beloved husband bought me a new one! Yupee! So I'll be sure to take pictures of Route 129's cupcakes for everyone to see.
Happy Baking!

With my beloved starting his new job, busy with our summer ministry and life, I'm finding it hard to be able to sit and post.
Great news, though, I have an order placed for this weekend. Yay!

Hi-de-ho neighbor! Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. This blog was intentionally meant to log my cupcake adventures. I am by no means a pastry chef or a baker. I'm just a simple woman who loves to bake for her family and friends. Should the Lord choose to grow this little venture, then with His guidance, I'll take it on. In the meantime, this road may not be as smooth as buttercream, but it sure will be fun! So will you grab your favorite cupcake and join me through the ups, downs, yummies and not so yummies?
**UPDATE**
The Lord has been blessing this little venture of mine. With that, I'm in the process of updating the blog. Please forgive the mess! Thank you!
