Shop til' you drop

I went shopping yesterday for all the ingredients for Route 129's cupcakes. You should have seen the look on people's faces when they saw my shopping cart. I wonder what they were thinking.....

"What's that girl gonna' do with 10 dozen eggs?????"

LOL!!!

Tip: Don't count on "Party Stores" to have cake boxes on stock. Just buy bulk from your favorite online retailer. It's worth it!

WOW!

I can't believe how the Lord has been blessing this little venture. To make a long story short, we've had a lot of orders come in (of course all of them have been from friends....thanks everyone!) mostly for birthdays. I FINALLY, found a red velvet recipe that is super yummy and moist! Yay! More info on that later.

This weekend is my biggest order yet! A close friend of mine is going to get married and he and his beautiful bride to be asked me to do their cupcake tower...300 cupcakes! Yay! I'm so excited.
Our digital camera went on the fritz so I couldn't post any pictures of the past orders but for Christmas, my beloved husband bought me a new one! Yupee! So I'll be sure to take pictures of Route 129's cupcakes for everyone to see.

Happy Baking!

Hello Little Sweet Cakes

Yay! We decided on a new name, Little Sweet Cakes!

Long time no...post

With my beloved starting his new job, busy with our summer ministry and life, I'm finding it hard to be able to sit and post.

Great news, though, I have an order placed for this weekend. Yay!

Bye for now Chockylit

I've been perusing the web for cupcake inspirations and found a plethora of sites and blogs. Here's one blog that is so inspiring to me. In fact, if you've ever tasted a chocolate cupcake from me, the recipe was inspired by her chocolate cupcake recipe (with a few alterations).

She closed her blog back in May...*sigh*...but thankfully she'll have her recipes available so I can still be inspired.

Bye Chockylit!
