When thinking of a name for this blog (and possible business), Sweet Cakes Cupcakery came when I thought about my inspiration for baking cupcakes. My inspiration was my children. I have so many nicknames for them and Sweet Cakes was one of them. But if you google the name "Sweet Cakes" you'll find a couple of businesses with that name already. Also, I thought about me being someone else, if I heard the name "Sweet Cakes" I'm expecting to see cakes. But that's not what I do, I do cupcakes. Hence the addition of Cupcakery.
When discussing my new found "identity" with my beloved husband, he replies with a gentle, "That's a bit of a tongue twister, don't you think?" My huge smile turned into a mini pout. *Hmm* I suppose it is, but it's a super cute name. So in my quest to honor my husband, I'm seeking help from all (5) of you who read my blog, to help me find a new name. Here a is a list of some names that were suggested to me. They are in no particular order:
- Sweet Cupcakes
- Sprinkle Me
- Ah Yeah Cupcakes
- Frosted Cupcakes
- Little Miss Cupcakes (I think that's what it was)
- Strawberry Cupcake
If you have other suggestions, please pass them along. I'd love to hear them.

LOL!! I know right? I won't tell you which sister-in-law suggested that one. But her name rhymes with Car. Gotta love her!
how about 'Chone's Cupcakery'? :) i like the words 'sweet' and 'cupcakery' but not sure how to make it not a tongue-twister.. chone's sweet cupcakery? :) who knows, good luck finding the perfect name!

that way you can use it for other things if you expanded beyond cupcakes. If you have it too specific you narrow your business. :)

Honestly, Chone, if you're enthusiastic about a certain name, others will be too. Since you like Sweet Cakes so much, maybe you should just add to that, like, Sweet Cakes Express or Sweet Cakes Cafe.

Sweet Cakes is nice, just as Abner suggested. If you plan to stick to cupcakes, though, I like Little Cakes. It's cute!
